The Windows at St. Andrew’s
Rudolf Buenz created several of the stained glass windows in St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in the 1970s, although records are unclear about when exactly the windows were commissioned or installed. The book, The Fisherman’s Church provides some insight about the timeline; page 74 covers the windows of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and explains that the St. Andrew window was installed in 1974, with the Cape Henry window having been created around the same time.
A special thank you to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and John Murdock for collaborating to bring us this information and provide photographs of the stained glass windows!
*The original drawings for the Cape Henry window are in the private collection of Buenz’ Grandson with plans to be scanned and uploaded to this page!
